What is your earliest memory? For most people, it’s the sound of their mother’s voice. Sound can be a powerful way to get information to someone, and that is true even on the internet. Using a few minutes to explain something or give news can be a warm, personal way to reach customers. Audio Marketing can be an effective way to get personal with customers and build a good working relationship.
People process information in three different ways: auditory, visual, and kinesthetic. Auditory learners retain information better when they hear something. They usually use ‘hearing’ type words in conversation, for example “I hear what you’re saying” or “Listen, let’s try that.”
By contrast, visual processors need to see something done to best understand it. They say “Look, I want to do this” or “I see what you’re saying”. Kinesthetics like to feel things in their hands and try things themselves to get the best understanding.
On your website, you want to appeal to each type as much as possible, and audio is a good way to do that. In fact, audio can sometimes be superior because audio:
-allows listeners to focus
When there is sound and no video, the listener must focus on the sound, making it more likely that information is retained.
-is quicker to produce
Creating an audio file is as simple as recording a few lines of speech. There is no need to take into consideration the environment or looks of the presenter.
-is more efficient than video
Audio takes up less file space and fewer resources than video does, allowing it to play much more quickly.
Audio marketing can be an effective way to deliver information to clients and customers. If you are interested in learning more about how you can use audio techniques for your own website, consider heading over to: http://goo.gl/M22D4
